Himalayan WhiteHouse International College is one of the nation’s finest colleges, a center for academic excellence in the heart of Kathmandu. We look for talented young people who want to meet the challenges of today’s Nepal and become engaged, skilled and well-rounded citizens of a globalized world.
Our story began in 2001, when a group of educators devoted to raising the quality of education in Nepal gathered to teach the first cohort of students at a local landmark known by neighbors simply as “the white house.” That first home gave its name to the college, and while it has long since outgrown that cozy setting and become one Kathmandu’s best-known private colleges with campuses across the city, it retains the sense of community and dedication to individualized attention that inspired its founding.
We bring together committed educators and over 2,200 high-achieving young people at our two distinctive campuses: Himalayan WhiteHouse International College at New Baneshwor, which houses our Plus2 and Undergraduate programs, and the Graduate School of Management in the newly opened Trade Tower, Thapathali. Each is a place for active learning, a holistic approach to education, and rigorous academic standards.
Our students are recognized nation-wide for their outstanding results in regards to the Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) and in competitions such as the International Physics Olympiad. The college has been honored for “Excellence in Education” by the Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) of Nepal.
Himalayan WhiteHouse values diversity and an inclusive environment. Scholarships are available to deserving students. Our aim is to educate the leaders of tomorrow and help them to achieve success by living out our motto: Think Now. Think Smart. Think Ahead.
